The main characters

The main characters of The Simpsons are the members of a middle class family who live in an American town called Springfield.

The father
Homer Simpson is the father and works in the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He's overweight, lazy, clumsy and stupid but he loves his family. He loves donuts and beer (especially Duff) and he spends a lot of time in Moe's Tavern, with his friends Barney, Lenny and Carl. His father is Abraham Simpson, an old, deaf and crazy man who feels alone everytime and lives in the Springfield Retirement Castle.

The mother

Marge Simpson, or Marjorie Bouvier, is Homer's wife. She's a housewife and she's very careful and responsible with her kids and her husband. Maggie, her daughter, is her best friend because she spends a lot of time with her. She has got two older sisters, Patty and Selma, who are twins. They are single and they hate Homer and smoke a lot.

The son

Bart Simpson is the first son of the marriage. He's 10 years old and was conceived after a crazy night. He's a vandal, he's always trying to annoy principal Skinner and his best friend is Milhouse Van Houten. His favourite expression is "Eat my shorts", which has become very popular. He's a fan of Krusty the Clown, whom he saved to go to jail, and his enemy is Sideshow Bob. He has tried to kill him several times!

The daughter

Lisa Simpson is the middle child of the Simpson and the elder daughter of Homer and Marge. She's 8 years old, she plays the saxophone and she is the most intelligent member of the family. She doesn't eat meat because she's a vegetarian and she supports a lot of causes. Nobody understand she and she usually have to spend her time alone, whithout any friends. She's very independent and mature.

The baby

Maggie Simpson is the youngest and the most innocent member of the family. She's always sucking on her pacifier with a great sound and she is often falling on her face because her clothes are too long. She has never said a word and she has a close relationship with her mother, Marge.

Hello dear friends! We are making a school project about our hobbies and we have chosen The Simpsons, one of the best TV-programmes of all time!
The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom which was crated by Matt Groening in 1987. It first appeared in The Tracey Ullman Show but it became a hit and the Fox decided to give The Simpsons an individual show in 1989. Since then, it has been one of the most popular TV-series in the whole world, with 20 season and more than 434 episodes.
